ECO BOYS AND GIRLS CURRICULUM GUIDE 2013 PROMOTES ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AT THE NATIONAL EDUCATION ASSOCIATION

The National Education Association CELEBRATES THE EARTH with the Eco Boys and Girls Curriculum Guide 2013 working to make every day Earth Day for children and students—schools and communities—across the country.

ECO BOYS AND GIRLS  characters, created by Maria Snyder, are 5 animated characters that young children who are in Pre K to Grade 3 can view as friends. They teach them the value of respecting their environment by protecting natural resources and conservation and respecting the people and other living things who inhabit the earth.

Creator, Maria Snyder explains the reasons why she undertook this endeavor, “I created these Eco Characters to give youth today “Eco-Heroes” to believe in, to have fun with and learn from. Children are aware, involved, caring and connected to the earth and each other. I wanted to engage young people, empower them to take ownership of the world we live in and enjoy learning about the environment and explore creative new ways to live in harmony with the planet and each other.”
