Maria Snyder, creator of ECO BOYS AND GIRLS, was at The United Nations, introducing students from THE HARLEM ACADEMY to the “ECO BOYS AND GIRLS AND THE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS AT THE UN” Book, authored by Maria’s brother, Simon A. Snyder, an environmental activist.

September 10, 2012 THE PRESIDENT’S OFFICE OF THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY celebrated INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY in cooperation with UNESCO, THE FRENCH CONSULATE, UN WOMEN FOR PEACE.

Featured speakers are MARIA SNYDER and her eco-friendly brand, ECO BOYS AND GIRLS, as well as DR. JEFFREY SACHS, Director of the Earth Institute, COLIN COWIE, Lifestyle Expert, DAYLE HADDON, UNICEF Ambassador and Founder WomenOne, CECELIA RODHE, a Miss Sweden and Founder Noah’s Arc Foundation and H.E. Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, President of the General Assembly, plus other luminaries and speakers from the Harlem Academy, Infinite Family and National Education Association.


INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY reminds the international community of the status of literacy and focuses global attention on literacy needs and issues.

ECO BOYS AND GIRLS are five delightful characters whose mission is to engage youth and families everywhere to be aware of, involved with and connected to each other and the earth and to empower them to take ownership of our planet, learn about the environment and explore creative new ways to live in harmony.

MARIA SNYDER and other celebrities and top models that were muses to ANTONIO LOPEZ, include JESSICA LANGE, PAT CLEVELAND, JERRY HALL, TINA CHOW are all featured in a new book by Roger and Mauricio Padilha, “ANTONIO LOPEZ:FASHION, ART, SEX & DISCO” that launched September 5, 2012.

ANTONIO LOPEZ was a world celebrated fashion illustrator whose work appeared in global publications, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Interview and The New York Times.

ECO BOYS AND GIRLS UNITED NATIONS RIO+20 YOUTH BLAST PLENARY SESSION

On June 10 Eco Boys and Girls held a plenary session at Youth Blast: The Official United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development for Children and Youth.

Eco Boys and Girls Plenary Session discussed the vital importance of environmental education for children and showcasing their series of  "TAKE ACTION" Public Service Announcements and associated with many of the top Global Youth Groups.


For two days the UNCSD Major Group of Children and Youth will collaborate and the purpose of the Youth Blast Conference of Youth for Rio+20 is to empower children and youth.

Eco Boys and Girls are Official Delegates for the UNCSD Major Group for Children and Youth at Rio+20, The 2012 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, the World’s Global Environmental Conference.

Eco Boys and Girls encourages and inspires youth and families to be better stewards of the environment and each other. Through this work and collaboration with other major youth organizations, Eco Boys and Girls will help to ensure the Rio+20 Conferences generate lasting, transformative outcomes for our future and the future we want.  


The UNCSD Major Group for Children and Youth is the official voice for any under 30 in the sustainability negotiations at Rio+20. We are engaging with young people from across the world to share our voices at Rio+20. Through networking and collaborating, the MGCY has strong teams that contribute to the policy negotiations.

Ray Recycle is on a mission to prevent waste and reuse materials! Sammy Sun is on a mission to spread the word about conservation!


World Oceans Day people around the planet celebrate and honor the body of water which links us all, for what it provides humans and what it represents.

ECO BOYS AND GIRLS are 5 eco-heroes that TAKE ACTION in a PSA on WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY with FRIENDS OF THE UNITED NATIONS. As young leaders promoting environmental stewardship, Ernie Earth, Lulu Love, Patsy Peace, Ray Recycle and Sammy Sun celebrate with youth to encourage them to TAKE ACTION for the environment and that every act makes a difference.
