ECO BOYS AND GIRLS INVITED TO LAUNCH OBAMA ADMINISTRATION'S YOUTH SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE AT WHITE HOUSE

THE ECO BOYS AND GIRLS, Ernie Earth, Lulu Love, Patsy Peace, Ray Recycle and Sammy Sun are invited to The White House to launch the Obama Administration's Youth Sustainability Challenge.




Through the Youth Sustainability Challenge, The White House will challenge America’s Youth to share their voices and tell the world what they are doing to further sustainability in their own communities through a Youth Sustainability Video Challenge

ECO BOYS AND GIRLS HEAD TO THE WHITE HOUSE TO ATTEND FIRST ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION SUMMIT


ECO BOYS AND GIRLS joins the EPAand Administrator, Lisa P. Jackson with Senior Officials from the White House and other Federal Agencies for the first White House Summit onEnvironmental Education on April 16, 2012.





The White House Summit on Environmental Education brought together stakeholders both old and new to discuss an emerging vision for environmental education in the 21st century. Panelists and participants addressed the challenges of environmental education in an increasingly technology-driven world and the role of environmental education in adapting to these changes. Federal government panelists discussed the role of the federal government in environmental education.

EPA INVITES MARIA SNYDER AND OTHER REMARKABLE WOMEN TO A PARTNERSHIPS INITIATIVE


The US Environmental Protection Agency Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships Initiative is honored to invite Maria Snyder and other remarkable women to a gathering lead by faith for the health and safety of community and to help promote environmental stewardship.

The United States Environmental Protection Agency is dedicated to expanding the conversation on environmentalism and building strong partnerships. Given the role of women and faith leaders in addressing environmental issues and the dearth of spaces where women come together to celebrate and optimize their roles in this work, we chose Women's History Month to convene this roundtable.

Jackson invites a select group of Women and Senior Officials from the White House and the EPA to participate at THE WHITE HOUSE WOMEN'S BRIEFING SERIES for a conversation on policy issues important to Women and the Environment on March 26, 2012.

Felissimo further states Maria Snyder, an Eco Fashion Pioneer is one of the first designers to introduce an exclusive collection made from fiber from post consumer plastic bottles. The theme for recycling further underlines Maria’s love for nature and respect for the earth".

MARIA SNYDER’S MEDITATIVE SHORT FILM AN OFFICIAL SELECTION AT GLOBAL PEACE FILM FESTIVAL


Films selected for the Global Peace Film festival include Nobel Peace Prize winners Rigoberta Menchu Tum, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the Dalai Lama featured in “2012: The True Mayan Prophecy” that is preceded by artist Maria Snyder’s meditative short, “Peace: How? Why? Where? What?” 

The ninth annual Global Peace Film Festival runs from September 20-25, 2011. The Festival is a celebratory event and a place to honor those who promote global and community awareness of peace and environmental sustainability through the most powerful form of communication in our world today.  


The Global Peace Film Festival draws together filmmakers and filmgoers from all walks of life into a community of people inspired to take action in their daily lives to leave the world a more peaceful place than they found it.

Artivist Film Festival official selection of Maria Snyder’s ECO BOYS AND GIRLS Film featured at their 7th annual film festival.



The ARTIVIST FILM FESTIVAL is dedicated to raising awareness for International Human Rights, Children's Advocacy, Environmental Preservation, and Animal Advocacy through Film.

WALL OF PEACE‘NLOVE ART INSTALLATION AT MEDICAL CITY CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

Maria Snyder’s art installation WALL OF PEACE’NLOVE, a 35 foot mural was installed in the entranceway to the Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas, TX.

ECO BOYS AND GIRLS FILM OFFICIAL SELECTION AT GLOBAL PEACE FILM FESTIVAL

Maria Snyder directed this short animated film, Eco Boys and Girls, which introduces 5 lovable characters that bring to life for young children core societal values in a fun-loving way. Their mission is to engage kids to learn about the environment and explore creative new ways to live in harmony. Eco Boys and Girls Film premieres September 22, 2010.


The Global Peace Film Festival is a celebratory event and a place to honor those who promote global and community awareness of peace and environmental sustainability through the most powerful form of communication in our world today.

PEACE ART AND MARIA SNYDER

The American Public Health Association (APHA) featured Maria Snyder's Peace Art at the annual conference in Philadelphia, PA.

At APHA conference, Maria's art was described as an emerging body of work that spans graphic, advertising, and fine arts in techniques and media. Her presentation illuminated the challenges of bringing images and ideas about peace into the modern mainstream after decades of marginalization.




The American Public Health Association is the oldest and most diverse organization of public health professionals in the world and has been working to improve public health since 1872.

GLOBAL HEARTS UNITE WITH MARIA SNYDER ART

Maria's art installation, HeartsUnite was featured at the Global Symposium of Peaceful Nations, sponsored by the Fulbright Center  in Washington, DC.




The purpose of the Global Symposium of Peaceful Nations is to shift the attention from war to peace, and learn from those countries that have achieved a high level of peacefulness.

Maria's art installation, MandalaLoveBubbles, is currently on permanent display at the Medical City Children's Hospital, in the entranceway to the Congenital Heart Surgery Unit, Dallas, Texas.

MARIA SNYDER, COVER OF "ANTONIO'S PEOPLE" BOOK

Maria was one of the last chosen muses to renowned fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez and is featured on the cover of his book, Antonio's People, filled with the late artist's illustrations and photographs of some of history's fashion giants.

New York Times called Antonio Lopez,  a "major fashion illustrator".

MARIA'S BOOK, A MESSAGE OF LOVE

A Message of Love is a collection of Maria Snyder's art and poetry sharing a message of her belief in our interconnectedness, as well as positive messages of love and peace.

Maria's A Message of Love was launched and sold at Rizzoli's Bookstore.
