NEWARK PEACE EDUCATION SUMMIT focuses on
peacemaking practices from around the world and featured Maria Snyder presenting her WHY ARE WE HERE? Film, as well as panels and
workshops with His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama, Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Nobel Laureates and peace advocates from a wide
cross section of cultures, disciplines and perspectives.

the challenges of bringing images and ideas about peace into the modern
